Shop with a Cop

Century Lodge brothers have become proud Gold Sponsors of the Shop with a Cop Program in our area.  Our part is to purchase, donate and prepare the breakfast.  Last year we served over 400.  This program allows qualifying families to have their children participate in this whole day function scheduled for December 19, 2009.  The day starts out with a buffet breakfast, to shopping with a local police officer and the day ends with the family receiving food for a dinner for 6.  Volunteers from Century Lodge #492, Elgin Lodge #12, Ben Hur Lodge #870 and Young Centurion Junior Lodge #1 will prepare and serve the breakfast buffet. Century Lodge #492 has been supporting our community for 108 years. For more info go to:

Support our Vets and Soldiers

Veterans Day is fast approaching and we each owe a great debt of gratitude to our fighting men and women.  It is hard to believe as we carry on our daily lives that our country is battling wars around the world.  We see it on the news and maybe we have been so overwhelmed by the overload of information and opinions that we blur out those that are sacrificing for our freedom 24/7.  We have and have had many veterans in our order and in our lodge.  For those that are gone we can only offer a postumus thanks.  For those that are still present you still have the opportunity to say thank you for your gift of freedom in person.  Please take the time to find out who these brothers and sisters are and say thank you.  Please click on this link if you are in need of a reminder of who our vets past and present are.
