Obituary for Richard J. ” Rich ” Lechman

 

Richard J.” RICH “ Lechman, age 64,of Carpentersville passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surround by and under the care of his family on Friday evening, June 16, 2017. Rich was born on January 26, 1953 in Chicago and was the son of the late Adam & Grace Lechman. Rich was a resident of the Carpentersville area for the past 35 years and a loyal active member of Century Lodge #492 ( IOOF ) Independent Order of Oddfellows. He was a Maintenance Mechanic by profession. He was a United States Army Viet Nam War Veteran. Rich was a proud Harley owner and enjoyed every opportunity he had on his “bike” and with his friends. Most of all, Rich was a loving and devoted dad and grandpa. He lived for his family and loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Survivors include his children; Jackie ( Matt) Suwanski, Adam( Gina) Lechman and Katie Lechman. His grandchildren all whom he loved and was very proud of; Riley, Makenzie, Peyton, Jax, Raelynn, Gracie, and Gianna, his brother; Robert ( Donna) Lechman and his sister; Kathy( Dan) Murphy. Other survivors include his former wife and friend; Patti Hecker, several nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends including fellow bikers and brethren from Century Lodge # 492. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Funeral Services with military honors will be held on Tuesday morning at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
